Fen-Phen & PPH - Have you been affected by PPH?
PPH (primary pulmonary hypertension) is a rare, potentially fatal disease that causes high blood pressure in the lungs. It’s also known as primary arterial hypertension, or PAH and is treated using Flolan, Tracleer, Remodulin, and Bosenton. The disorder is 100 times more common among former users of the diet drug combination popularly known as "Fen-Phen". The diet drugs that experts have linked to PPH are "Pondimin", part of the Fen-Phen combination, and "Redux". Both Pondimin and Redux were withdrawn from the market in September, 1997, after they were conclusively linked to PPH and valvular heart disease.
The Carey, Danis & Lowe has tried and or resolved Fen-Phen opt-out cases and is currently working for other PPH victims. We are dedicated to obtaining compensation for people who have suffered this disease through the negligence or deceit of drug companies. Although drug company executives were warned of the dangers of these drugs and knew of many cases of Fen-Phen-related PPH, they hid this information from the public.
If you believe that you or a loved one has contracted PPH from using Fen-Phen, contact Carey, Danis & Lowe today. We can help you obtain the compensation you're entitled to by law.
It is now well-established that new cases of PPH caused by the diet drugs are now being diagnosed for the first time. This is because there may be a latency of 10-20 years after cessation of the diet drugs before the PPH disease occurs.
